Tutors needed!

 

For anyone who wishes to work 1-on-1 as a tutor with a student at Whitford Middle School, the AASK program is still looking for tutors. This is a great opportunity to earn some service hours. Tutoring will be twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) from 3:15-4:40 pm at Whitford (for those who don't drive there is a bus that can take you to Whitford those days). There are only 2 things you need to do to sign up;

2- Attend a mandatory training session to prepare for tutoring. Choose one of these dates next week:

Tuesday, February, 21st or Thursday, February 23rd, 3:05-4:45. The first training day is a "shadowing" day.  This means that tutors will shadow Winter tutors to see in real time how it is done. (*you do not have to do this portion of the training if you have already tutored) Attend 1 of these 2 tutoring sessions to watch Winter tutors in action and get a feel for the AASK routine. 

 

TRAINING Session #2.  Monday, February 27th 3:15-4:30, Room 71 at OES.(delicious snacks will be provided).  (you do not need to attend this session if you tutored this year and are continuing to tutor. Please let me know if you'd like to be involved with this session as a trainer )
